The Class “G” Statewide Firearms License, issued by Florida’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, is the license that permits any individual who possesses a valid Class “D” Security Officer license to perform the duties of an armed security officer while on an armed post or on an armed assignment. Further, the Class “G” license permits holders of valid Class “C”, “CC”, “M”, “MA”, and “MB” licenses to perform duties while armed.

• Have completed a state-mandated 40-hour unarmed Security Officer training program, OR
• Be scheduled to complete a state-mandated 40-hour unarmed Security Officer training program, OR
• Possess a valid FL Class “D” Security Officer License, OR
• Possess a valid FL Class “CC” Private Investigator Intern License, OR
• Possess a valid FL Class “C” Private Investigator License.

As a pre-requisite for applying for the Class “G” license, an applicant must complete a state-mandated 28-hour training course, pass a written examination and successfully pass a 48-round qualification course of fire.

All “G” license classes are taught by a licensed class “K” Firearms Instructor.

Course Tuition: $320.00

As per Florida State Chapter 493 provision, all Florida License “G” Armed Security Officers must re-qualify, at least once a year, by training and being evaluated on their use of a handgun. 

The 4-hour course will consist of classroom time, testing, review and range time.

Classroom: Two hours of class will be given according to regulations. There is a mandatory class curriculum that will be conducted during this period. The student is asked to bring their firearm to the classroom unloaded along with duty belt if applicable, a minimum of two speed loaders or two magazines as appropriate as there will be dry fire practice.

Test and Review: A 25 question written test will be administered after the class curriculum is done. The student will have up to one hour to complete the exam and will need a grade of 70% or higher to pass. A short review of correct answers will follow examination.

Range Time: Your course of fire shall consist of 48 rounds. Your minimum acceptable score on the range course will be 168 points of a possible 240. You will be allowed to make three attempts at achieving a passing score of 70% (168 points) or greater. If you qualify on the first pass, you will not need to fire the additional two.

As per Florida State Chapter 493 provision, all Florida License “G” Armed Security Officers must re-qualify, at least once a year, by training and being evaluated on their use of a Shotgun. 

The 4-hour course will consist of classroom time, testing, review and range time.

Classroom: Two hours of class will be given according to regulations. There is a mandatory class curriculum that will be conducted during this period. The student is asked to bring their shotgun to the classroom ,there will be dry fire practice.

Test and Review: A 25 question written test will be administered after the class curriculum is done. The student will have up to one hour to complete the exam and will need a grade of 70% or higher to pass. A short review of correct answers will follow examination.

Range Time: Your course of fire shall consist of 8 rounds. Total rounds 24. You will be allowed to make three attempts at achieving a passing score of 70% . If you qualify on the first pass, you will not need to fire the additional two.

The 4-hour course will consist of classroom time, testing, review and range time.

Classroom: Two hours of class will be given according to regulations. There is a mandatory class curriculum that will be conducted during this period. The student is asked to bring their rifle to the classroom ,there will be dry fire practice.

Test and Review: A 25 question written test will be administered after the class curriculum is done. The student will have up to one hour to complete the exam and will need a grade of 70% or higher to pass. A short review of correct answers will follow examination.

Range Time: Your course of fire shall consist of 30 rounds. Total rounds 90. You will be allowed to make three attempts at achieving a passing score of 70% . If you qualify on the first pass, you will not need to fire the additional two.

Yes, the State of Florida is a Constitutional Carry State... but if you have never handled a firearm, this would be a great opportunity to familiarize yourself and learn firearm safety.

This course meets the requirements necessary for students to obtain their Florida Concealed Carry License. This is an intermediate level course, that reviews license protocols, use of force laws, firearm safety, and marksmanship. The class concludes with a live-fire exercise where students will demonstrate safe shooting skills. Students are provided all necessary license application forms and certificates upon successful completion. The state of Florida charges separate processing fees to obtain license.

This is a American Heart Association (AHA) Certification.
The class curriculum requires a minimum, 3 hour course in CPR/AED/ BLS (basic life support), and relief of foreign body airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants.During the class, the students will experience both video lecture and hands on skills.The students will be required to pass a 20 question test and show proficiency in proper chest compressions, rescue breaths, and the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in order to receive their certification card, which is good for 2 years and will be awarded after successful completion of training.The instructional course will include the classroom instruction, including hands on training, certification card that’s good for 2 years, and web portal that the students can access to obtain a digital copy of the student hand book so they can have it on their computers, smart phones, Ipads, etc. They can even access different scenarios to hone their new skills and keep them fresh.All courses are taught by a certified instructor and students will receive a certification that is good for 2 years through that instructors certifying agency.
